The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One is doing a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study about the future of Cortez Bridge on State Road (SR) 684 in Manatee County, Florida. The study is looking at the bridge and roadway approaches from SR 789 (Gulf Drive) to 123rd Street West, a distance of about 0.9 mile.

FDOT began a repair project in late April 2014 to keep Cortez Bridge safe and in operable condition for another 10 years. Completion is expected in early 2015. Please visit www.cortezbridgerepair2014.com for project details.
